As I believe, if we could see the world in a grain of sand, it would be a stark realization of emptiness, and that everything must come to an end. Yet, the split second of my fixated gaze, where the woman stares right back at me through the lens, a brief moment of interaction and possession, is captured and preserved forever. With an utilization of painting and installation, against this assemblage where my instinct thrived, I paint on the woman’s body freely; the woman submerges into this backdrop of disorder, and becomes of a mystical being that is at once almost dehumanized, objectified and spiritualized. Therefore, I have enhanced sexuality, and deconstruct the aversion of such, by turning it into an exotic landscape.
