Photos from 6-12 was shot for an Agriculture assignment. Met an 8-member agri family and shot the pictures interacting with them. It was one of my most precious journeys though. Mrs. Lakshmi who’s in Picture No: 11 is the primary breadwinner of her family.
She lost her husband and single-handed’ly raised her elder daughter who was pursuing Agriculture Engineering at that time. Her name is Vijaya, she used to take care of her siblings and all the imports and exports of vegetables and fruits. She additionally conducts tuitions in the evening to raise the family further.
The economically backward households of their neighborhoods work with them as daily wage workers, I spent the whole day with them and was surprised in the evening as they have given the daily wages along to the farmers along with the Agri produces they cultivate every day. Rich by heart, Poor by money.
